Season Passes Extended Through 2021

This year hasn't gone like any of us expected. As COVID-19 continues to impact every part of our lives, we have been faced with many hard decisions, resulting in our 2020 Season being delayed.

We know how challenging it's been to wait. We want to see you too! Because of all the uncertainty, we have decided to extend all 2020 Season Passes through the entire 2021 Season. Dining Passes and other perks will also be extended. It's the right thing to do in appreciation of your patience and support. Non-Season Passholders can purchase 2020 Season Passes that include the 2021 Season until further notice.

We have been working constantly these past two months on how we adapt to this pandemic and the new normal it has created. We continue to plan towards Opening Day, though an exact date remains undetermined. Our top priority, as always, is the health and safety of our Team Members and Guests. We will continue following the rulings and recommendations of our local, state and federal leadership throughout this process, working alongside health and safety officials and our colleagues in the amusement and attractions industries.

One difficult decision we've had to make is to delay our new attractions, Bombs Away, until next year. This exciting new addition to Sandcastle deserves a full season in the spotlight, and we know that won't be possible this year. Postponing this project also allows us to focus more fully on the measures we are taking to make our park as safe and welcoming as possible.

While the experience will be different from any season in our history, we remain committed to delivering the safe, family fun that's been our calling card since 1989. All Season Passes purchased will include both the 2020 and 2021 seasons until further notice. We may revert to single-year Season Passes at a later point.

Yes. All Season Passholders will receive the 2021 extension, regardless of when their final payment is made. We know finances are a challenge for some guests - please know we are not charging late fees for missed payments. To update your payment information, please contact us for assistance. Please note that Season Passes cannot be used until they are paid in full.

Our plan is to ensure you receive equal value for any experience or benefit you missed out on this year due to COVID-19, such as the All Season Dining Pass. All Season Dining Passes and other add-ons will also be valid through the end of the 2021 Summer Season. We are no longer selling Dining Passes for the 2020 season.

Good Any Day tickets will be valid through the entirety of the 2020 Summer Season, and Limited Operation and Date-Restricted Tickets will be accepted any day of the 2020 Summer Season. Guests with additional questions about their tickets can contact us.

Surcharges and date blackouts will be waived on group outing tickets. They will be Good Any Day of the 2020 Summer Season. Group Outing Planners, please contact us to discuss options to reschedule outings.

We are still accepting applications and conducting phone and Skype interviews. At this time in-person interviews, orientations and trainings are on hold until permitted to resume by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Our highest priority remains the safety of all of our Team Members and Guests, and we’re closely following the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, Pennsylvania Department of Health, and Allegheny County Health Department, along with other government officials and health experts. Some of our evolving sanitation procedures include:

  • Making sure rides and other areas are clean and hygienic
  • Communicating and promoting the need to maintain social distance
  • Promoting regular and thorough hand washing by Team Members, Contractors and Guests
  • Installing sanitizing hand rub dispensers in prominent places around the park to facilitate handwashing amongst Guests
  • Promoting good respiratory hygiene in the workplace
  • Encouraging Guests and Team Members to stay home if you are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, shown symptoms, or themselves come into contact with an individual at risk or suspected of having contracted COVID-19.
  • Educating all Team Members about illness prevention, preparedness and response
